Charles Altman

Charles Altman earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of South Carolina and attended the University of South Carolina School of Law. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1969 and served in the Army Reserves for several years while starting his own practice. Altman operated as a sole practitioner until 1990. He then opened a local office for a large SC law firm and served as a partner there for 16 years. In addition, Martindale-Hubbell recognizes Altman as an AV® rated attorney, the highest such rating available to any individual lawyer and a testament to the fact that a lawyer's peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence.
His firm formed in 2006 and is housed in the historic “Altman Building” which was constructed by Charles’s parents in 1952. Learn more about firm history.
